(formerly A Year of Plastic, but the year just got longer and longer and longer… It’s time we Ebb the {Plastic} Tide!)
In 2018 I started an unexpected journey, one that led me to become a conservation artist, using marine-debris as my medium. It has been an amazing journey so far: I’ve been awarded a national volunteering award, a Stewardship of the Year award, been featured on two Boston news programs, am featured in a documentary, have had numerous solo and group shows across the state and country, and have given workshops and presentations around the country. Who knew? All for cleaning up beaches…
You can read more about my journey and how it all started here. (ed. note, #wip, working on this page)
My current project: Now You See Me Stop-motions and sculptures of endangered species along with their superpowers, created with marine-debris. How could you not want to protect these cool species?
