Martha’s Vineyard inspiration

My beautiful sister visited the States for the first time ever from England at the tail end of the summer. We had such a great time showing off Cape Cod to her, and couldn’t send her home without a day on the Vineyard. I had a blast photographing there, I love Aquinnah, it’s just so spectacular. Even on a blustery day, the rain was threatening, the ferry home deadline was making sure we didn’t spend as much time as we wanted, it just exudes calm. I could easily spend every day there. Making sculptures, photographing the stones, making patterns with the clay…

I love photographing people. I love all of the families and children I get to photograph here on our gorgeous Cape Cod beaches, but give me a beach full of rocks and solitude and I am probably at my very happiest. With my daughter next to me, making & photographing cairns of her own, it could very well be paradise.
